Seattle Monorail Project


Mr. Eggertsein has been the Controller for the Seattle Monorail Project since February 2003.  He developed the accounting systems and controls for the Project.  The Project has received the Government Finance Officers Association award for excellence in financial reporting, two spotless independent financial audits and two state audits with “No findings.”

He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Washington; a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; the Washington State Certified Public Accountants; the Washington State University Foundation – Board of Trustees, and a Past Director of the Washington State Bar Association Credit Union.

He was the Controller and then Chief Financial Officer for Davis Wright Tremaine before becoming a Divisional Controller at Microsoft.  He then played a critical role in the successful IPO for N2H2, Inc.

He grew up in Seattle and has great memories of riding the existing monorail.  His goal at the Project is to make Seattle a better place to live by helping people move quickly and comfortably throughout the City.
