Mae graduated from Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Accounting, and English.  At the time of graduation, she was a financial intern for Paramount Pictures in Hollywood, CA.  She later joined a Los Angeles accounting firm performing compliance audits for the Writers Guild of America and the Directors Guild of America. 

Shortly thereafter, she moved home to her native island of Guam to join Deloitte and Touche, LLP.  After becoming engaged on Guam, she moved with her fiancé to Washington State to be married.  She then began her government career with the Department of Health and Human Service, Office of Inspector General, Seattle Field Office, in 1999.  It was at that time that she became a member of the AGA Seattle Chapter.
